Is this the next beast processor for laptops from AMD?
At this year’s CES, Lisa Su from AMD launched a new R7 4800H mobile standard pressure processor, 8 cores and 16 threads, claiming to reach desktop-level performance. In terms of parameters, R7 4800H has 8 cores and 16 threads, the base frequency is 2.9 GHz, the acceleration frequency is 4.2 GHz, the TDP is 45W, and it uses the Zen 2 architecture of 7 nm process.
At the press conference, AMD stated that in terms of gaming performance, the AMD R7 4800H scored 39% more than the i7-9750H, and even exceeded the 95W i7-9700K in terms of performance. Now, there was a leak on Twitter that APISAK has found the AMD R7 4800H 3D Mark Time Spy Cpu running score. It is 8350 points and is slightly higher than the 8209 points of the i7-9700K.
The above is the 3DMark Time Spy Cpu benchmark scores of authoritative online tech site AnandTech. The comparison found that the AMD R7 4800H with a new architecture and new technology surpassed the original Threadripper 1900X and Intel’s i7-6900K and other HEDT processors. It should be noted that the benchmark score reflects the gaming performance of the processor and cannot represent its overall performance.
In terms of products, the Dell G5 15 Special Edition is currently the first “3A” gaming notebook equipped with the latest 7 nm Ryzen 7 4800H and 7 nm Radeon RX 5600M graphics cards.
