Asus ROG Ally X Handheld Device Specifications Leaked: Z1 Extreme Processor, Doubled Storage Capacity, Priced at $799
Asus announced that the 2024 model of the ROG Ally handheld device will debut at the Taipei International Computer Exhibition on June 3. The device will be rebranded as “ROG Ally X,” aimed at users demanding enhanced features.
The leaker, @MysteryLupin, revealed some specifications of the ROG Ally X, stating that it features a 7-inch FHD 1080P 120Hz display, equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, and 1TB SSD storage.
The ROG Ally X will only be available in black and is priced at $799, which is $100 more than the initial price of the original ROG Ally model.
Asus has previously indicated that the ROG Ally X is a significant upgrade from the original ROG Ally rather than a completely new product. If the leaks are accurate, the ROG Ally X will maintain the same processor and display but offer doubled storage capacity.
Additional enhancements include more than double the battery life; memory improvements (the current model has 16GB); and a change from an M.2 2230 slot to an M.2 2280, allowing consumers to upgrade their storage space more easily.
