Meta’s Social App Threads Gets More than 2 Million Registered Users within 2 Hours of Launch!

Threads benefits substantially from Instagram’s existing user base signing up for the service.

Breaking News on July 6th: Threads, Meta’s fresh social app, garnered over 2 million user registrations within its first two hours after launch, revealed by CEO Zuckerberg.

Threads, Meta’s social application, was formally launched today. In the initial post on the platform, Zuckerberg greeted users by saying “Let’s get started, welcome to Threads.”

According to prior reports, Threads has already ascended to the 27th position in the “social” category on the Apple App Store. Currently, the app is ad-free and allows users to connect with Instagram, maintaining their followers and username, which could have a positive impact on user acquisition.

The app enables users to discuss diverse topics, trends, and everything in the community. Regardless of users’ interests, they can track and directly engage with their preferred creators and others sharing similar interests, exchanging their thoughts and viewpoints with the world.

Threads permits users to publish text and links, reply or forward messages from other users, directly competing with Twitter’s functionality.
