Capcom has announced that the first RPG in the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Stories, is being revived with full voice acting.
The new trailer reveals that this enhanced version will be released on June 14, 2024, for Steam, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, supporting both simplified and traditional Chinese.
In this game, knights deepen their bonds with monsters, embarking on adventures in a dramatic and expansive world.
Players can become companions with various monsters, inherit skills, and cultivate their unique companions. Utilize riding actions to traverse the natural landscapes.
The game features a combat system where understanding monster habits provides advantages, capturing the essence of Monster Hunter.
Additionally, the game supports full voice acting and introduces a “Museum” mode where players can enjoy multiple design illustrations and music.
Originally launched for the 3DS in 2016, this re-release includes new full voice content and a museum mode featuring over 200 art designs, complete with commentary and background music.
The remastered version of Monster Hunter Stories is now available on Steam, priced at 148 yuan for the Chinese region. It includes newly released design sketches and background music in the museum feature.
Notably, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for PS4 will also be released on June 14. It is available for pre-order on the PSN store for $39.99 (approximately 290 yuan), with a game size of 25.106GB and pre-loading starting on June 12.
