According to news reports from DigiTimes, the semiconductor industry analysts believe that NVIDIA will again collaborate with Samsung. The upcoming Nvidia ampere series graphics cards will feature Samsung 7nm EUV technology. They are expected to launch by 2020.
It is reported that Nvidia’s Turing architecture GPU is currently using TSMC’s 12nm FFN process. Samsung also announced that it has begun mass production of 7-nanometer products using EUV technology in early 2019 and shipped it in April.
DigiTimes said that the semiconductor industry believes that although the Samsung 7nm EUV process is still unclear in terms of yield and quality, it is expected that the next generation GPU Nvidia Ampere series launched by NVIDIA in 2020 will adopt the Samsung 7nm EUV process.
Looking at AMD, the performance of the 7nm RX 5700 graphics card at the Taipei Computer Show has already surpassed the RTX 2070. More information will be released on the E3 event. The AMD E3 conference will be held at 6 am on June 11th, Beijing time. Interested partners can get ready early and pay attention to it.
