Nvidia DLSS 2.0 Technology explained!

We have recently learned from NVIDIA Nfan Club that they have officially introduced DLSS (deep learning super sampling) 2.0 technology in detail and have also tested it on some new graphics cards. NVIDIA said that AI and deep learning blessed DLSS can help players Take into account both image quality and performance.
First, in terms of picture quality, Nvidia stated that in new games, after turning on DLSS, the image on the output screen showed more details. The reason is that Nvidia’s deep learning algorithm can analyze very detailed image sequences, so sometimes you can see the details that are usually lost in TAA mode.
In terms of gaming performance, the officials have said that DLSS has greatly improved the performance of the RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super and it allows players to play some demanding titles at 1080p / 2.5K resolution and the highest quality settings with ray tracing turned on.
On the technical level, DLSS 2.0 is officially said to provide players with a new option i.e. fine-tuning the rendering resolution to find the right balance between image quality and performance. For example, in some titles, DLSS provides three modes of quality, balance and performance. And players can choose according to actual needs. In addition, DLSS 2.0 can also support more resolutions. After turning on DLSS, the RTX 2080 can run a lot of ray tracing supported games in a much better way.
In terms of working principles, we do understand that problems such as TAA time anti-aliasing and FXAA fast adaptive anti-aliasing can cause problems such as blurring and errors. Therefore, Nvidia has added AI in the process and uses the AI ??to understand the visual data. After tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of iterations of training, the AI ??can recognize different picture elements, and can automatically supplement to produce high-quality graphic effects. The Tensor Core in the official RTX graphics card that supports the technology in terms of hardware, might also receive upgrades in new product lines in the future!
