Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060 GPU Might Be Launched by End of June

This is significantly ahead of schedule!

Initially, NVIDIA had planned to release two graphics cards: the RTX 4060 Ti in May and the RTX 4060 in the first half of July. However, we later learned that a 16GB variant of the Ti SKU was also in the works, set to launch in the second half of July.

While there have been no changes regarding the release of the 16GB model, it seems that the non-Ti card will actually be arriving sooner than initially anticipated. rtx 4060 release date leaks

According to reports from Twitter Leaker @MEGAsizeGPU, the on-shelf date for the GeForce RTX 4060 has been pushed forward to the last week of June.

If this is true, it would mean that the card will launch a week or two earlier than the original launch date. However, it is important to note that NVIDIA has not yet confirmed the exact release date for the RTX 4060, except to say that it will be available sometime in the month of June.

Data released by NVIDIA’s official website suggests that the RTX 4060 graphics card will offer impressive performance, especially when its unique frame generation technology is turned on.

Reportedly, the card’s performance will be 1.7 times better than that of the RTX 3060 with the technology turned on, and only 1.2 times better with it turned off.

The specifications for the RTX 4060 desktop graphics card are said to be quite similar to those of the mobile GPU. The card’s power consumption is rated at 115W, with an average game power consumption of only 110W and an idle power consumption of 7W.

These figures represent a significant improvement over the previous model.

Here are the specifications for both the RTX 4060 desktop and mobile graphics cards:

  • RTX 4060 mobile GPU: 3072 CUDA Cores, Boost frequency of 2370MHz, 8GB memory, 128bit, 35-115W of rated power consumption.
  • RTX 4060 desktop GPU: 3072 CUDA Cores, Boost frequency of 2460MHz, 8GB video memory, 128bit, 115W of rated power consumption.

The performance of the RTX 4060 graphics card in different games varies, as shown below:

NVIDIA apparently has several reasons for launching this card earlier than planned, with one of the main reasons being relatively low interest in the RTX 4060 Ti model.

The company had initially planned to launch the Ti SKU at $399, but this price point has not been met with much enthusiasm among the GPU community. For example, in Japan, where gamers often queue up late into the night to buy new GeForce GPUs, only one person showed up at a retailer to purchase the RTX 4060 Ti.

This lack of interest speaks volumes about the demand for the product. Therefore, NVIDIA may try to launch the RTX 4060 non-Ti, a $299 graphics card, before price cuts become inevitable. This would give the company a better chance of recouping its costs while still offering a competitive product.

We might see a very different GPU market in the next month, right now the price war is at its peak and now it involves not only the AMD GPUs but also Intel Arc GPUs. Are you excited about the future of Graphics Cards? Let us know in the comments sections below!
