On the 13th of July, the Twitter Safety team made an official announcement regarding the “Freedom of Speech Not Reach” initiative.
This Wednesday, they declared that the aforementioned program has yielded significant positive outcomes, as a staggering 99.99% of tweets now comprise healthy content that adheres to the community guidelines.
However, Twitter also emphasized that it will take appropriate enforcement action against a small number of contents that violate Twitter’s rules.
In particular, any severe violations such as illegal content or harmful actors will result in the removal of their content or suspension of their accounts.
In response to this announcement, Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino retweeted the tweet and voiced her commitment to maintaining free expression and making Twitter a safe space for everyone in the community.
Our commitment to our community is simple and clear – maintain free expression and make Twitter a safe space for everyone. https://t.co/yS8A2MKoCQ
