Twitter has opened the Super Follows function to all iOS users. The feature was first released in September and is only available in the United States and Canada, allowing users to get exclusive content through monthly subscriptions.
Twitter first announced the Super Follow feature in February and launched it to some creators in September. According to SensorTower’s data, in the first two weeks, subscribers contributed approximately $6,000.
We do understand that according to the rules, in order to become a super following creator, you must be over 18 years old, have at least 10,000 fans, and have posted at least 25 tweets in the past 30 days. Once they have super-follow permissions, they must post at least 25 tweets every 30 days.
When the user subscribes to the creator’s super follower, the creator can get up to 97% of the income, while Twitter gets a 3% commission. If the creator’s income exceeds 50,000 US dollars, they can get 80% of the income, and Twitter will get a 20% rake.
Twitter officially stated that the super follow function will also be open to Android users in the near future.
