According to the latest news, Windows 10X is expected to be pushed to OEMs before the end of spring.
At first, Microsoft hoped to create a dedicated Windows 10X experience for dual-screen devices, but reality showed that it is more likely to be used on a single-screen PC. In addition, compared with the conventional Windows 10 operating system, “X” mainly has greater visual changes.
Normally, the start menu of Windows 10 is called up from the lower left corner. But the “Start Menu” of Windows 10X is floating in the middle of the screen, which might not be liked by a lot of users.
In addition, Windows 10X mainly promotes native, progressive web applications (PWA), and web applications that can be quickly called. There is no application folder or icon grouping with the new system “Start Menu”.
