Xiaomi Mijia Smart Audio Glasses Launched in Select Markets

No time frame for India announcement or launch as of yet!

On April 10th, Xiaomi made an official announcement regarding a new product: Mijia smart audio glasses. These glasses are set to commence crowdfunding on April 12th at 10 AM Beijing Time and will continue until April 26th at the same time.

The crowdfunding price for the product will be INR 9520 (799 yuan), while the final suggested retail price is expected to be INR 10708 (899 yuan). The announcement marks the latest addition to Xiaomi’s growing range of tech products.

The Mijia smart audio glasses have a design that closely resembles traditional glasses, with 5 stylish frames available that are ergonomically designed and weigh as little as 38.1g. The NCVM vacuum coating process is used to carefully carve each layer, resulting in a crystal clear metallic lustre that flows with the curve of the shape.

The self-developed hinge patent allows for easy frame replacement using the same method as traditional glasses.

Regarding features, the Mijia smart audio glasses boast an open sound field, double anti-leakage, noise reduction during calls, long battery life throughout the day, dual-device connection, and ultra-long touch on both sides.

These glasses utilize a 128mm ultra-dynamic balance unit, and SBS2.0 double-suspension balance structure, and are finely tuned by the sound surround algorithm to deliver an immersive audio experience. The glasses also include a dual microphone beam AI call noise reduction algorithm that enhances call quality, restores timbre, and provides stable and clear audio.

Battery life is another strong feature of the Mijia smart audio glasses, with all-day battery life supported. The glasses can provide 7 hours of continuous talking, 10 hours of continuous music listening, 22 hours of daily battery life, and over a week of standby battery life.

Other features of the Mijia smart audio glasses include a 30mm long touch area on both sides that is specially designed for blind operation, and various voice assistants can be awakened by long pressing.

The glasses support dual-device connection without the need for manual switching and can connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. The glasses also include a finding glasses feature, wearing detection, and IP54 dustproof and waterproof rating.

Right now there’s no official word about the Indian launch for these products and it might be quite some time before we get to see these in the Indian subcontinent.
