Xiaomi Redmi K20 specifications
The K20 is essentially the same as the K20 Pro but it comes with a Snapdragon 730 chipset which is slightly less powerful than the 855. It comes with an 18W charger inside the box. There are few other minor differences as well.
Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro specifications
According to Xiaomi, the K20 Pro is the world’s fastest phone. Arguably so, because it does have one of the highest scores on Antutu benchmark. What you also need to know is that Antutu is partly owned by Xiaomi but that’s not the point of discussion here.
The K20 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It’s a dual sim phone with a great design and does not skip on the headphone jack. It comes with Adreno 640 GPU and the 7nm chipset on the 855 makes sure that this smartphone is really powerful.
The device comes with a 2nd generation Game Turbo software which allows for better touch sensitivity. There’s also night vision for the games in which the visuals are really dark. The touch sampling rate can be changed from 120-180 Hz region for better gaming.
The device comes with an 8 layer graphite cooling system for faster heat dissipation and to avoid overheating.
It comes with a 3d curved glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the back. The K20 Pro weighs around 191 grams and is pretty lightweight. It has a red accent power button. It has an aluminium frame design and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
It comes with a pop-up camera mechanism and the device would be available in Flame Red and Glacier Blue colours. The device would also come in Carbon Black colour. It uses a Kevlar gradient pattern.
It comes with a 91.9% screen to body ratio display with 1.85 mm top bezels and a 3.8 mm chin bezel. It has a full HD+ display and supports DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a 600 nits highest brightness. Widevine L1 support is also incoming via a software update and the device does support HDR. It also comes with an always-on display for notifications and there’s a dark mode as well. The display also comes with support for DC dimming to avoid eye strain.
The popup camera comes with a camera edge lighting system. It also has a sapphire glass lens cover. Just like the OnePlus 7 Pro, it comes with fall protection via gyroscope.
It has a 20 MP front camera which supports a lot of modes. It also has an AI-based face unlock and a triple camera setup at the back.
It has a 48 MP main IMX 586 sensor, 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8MP telephoto camera with support for up to 2x optical zoom. It does support laser autofocus and on paper, the camera is pretty good. But the final performance boils down to the image processing algorithm at the end. You have to wait until our final review in order to know everything about this camera’s performance in detail.
There’s also an AI sky scaping mode for changing the backgrounds in sky shots. The smartphone also supports 960 fps super slow-motion video. You can also shoot up to 4k 60 fps video. All three sensors support 4K 60 FPS shooting but the mileage might vary.
It has a 4000 mAh battery and does support 27W SonicCharge technology. You can charge up to 58% in 30 minutes. It has a type C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack as well which supports 24 bit 192 kHz high-resolution audio.
The bottom-firing speaker is also larger than the competition according to Xiaomi. It comes with support for Dual-frequency GPS for better navigation. The Redmi Note 7 Pro had pathetic GPS. Maybe this phone won’t face the same issues. It also comes with a P2i splash-proof coating.
