To ensure fairness and integrity in the sales process, Xiaomi had previously taken measures to identify and block orders that appeared abnormal or were placed by scalpers.
The Founder’s Edition of the Xiaomi SU7 had a deposit requirement of 20,000 yuan, with the commitment instantly securing a reservation for the buyer.
Even those who had placed deposits for non-Founder’s Editions had the opportunity to upgrade their orders to the Founder’s Edition during this sale, benefiting from the same luxurious car purchase perks valued at up to 31,000 yuan offered previously on March 28.
Remarkably, Xiaomi has stated that this will be the final round of sales for the SU7 Founder’s Edition. Initially announced at the launch event, the limited edition was capped at 5,000 units and had a price tag identical to the standard and Max versions, with deliveries set to begin on April 3.
This move by Xiaomi not only underscores the brand’s strategic approach to market exclusivity but also solidifies its position within the competitive automotive sector.
