Apple this week unexpectedly leaked a mysterious new MacBook Pro model. A new model has passed FCC certification. This is a new product that emerged after Apple released its MacBook Pro product line with a new Intel processor and a slightly modified keyboard design in May. So this is definitely something new. Rumours say that it’s a new 13 inch MacBook Pro model.
The A2159 model mentioned in the FCC certification document is identical to the model found in the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECC) database in June.
The FCC file in the US is very vague as it doesn’t have any specific detail. But it does mention that this is a 13-inch MacBook Pro notebook. This excludes the speculation that it might be a 12-inch MacBook or an updated version of iMac. The new 2019 MacBook Pro already uses the A1990 model name, which means that it will be a new model.
Due to the ambiguity of the FCC file, it is difficult to know exactly what this new MacBook Pro is. One possibility is that it is a 13-inch MacBook Pro specification upgrade model. According to Apple analysts earlier this year, Apple will introduce a revised version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro with optional 32GB of memory for enthusiasts.
Apple is clearly developing a 16-inch MacBook Pro, but it is unlikely to leak this much in advance. Normally, new Apple devices will be uploaded to the FCC database almost immediately after they are announced. But this time it was surprising for a MacBook to appear in the FCC database earlier.
So guys what do you think? Is this just a minor spec bump update or is Apple on to something better and bigger for 13 inch MacBook users?
