The latest benchmarks for Apple’s M4 iPad Pro show significant performance improvements over the previous M2 model, according to the Geekbench 6 scores.
The device, identified by the model code J721AP and known as iPad16,6, features a 10-core CPU and runs on iOS/iPadOS 17.5. The M4 chip clocks in at 4408 MHz, achieving single-core scores between 3700 and 3800, and multi-core scores between 13900 and 14700.
This represents a 48.37% improvement in single-core and 52.44% in multi-core performance compared to the M2 iPad Pro, which scored 2539 in single-core and 9628 in multi-core on Geekbench. The 12.9-inch M2 iPad Pro operates at a frequency of 3.5GHz.
Apple’s M4 iPad Pro models are available with different configurations: the 256GB and 512GB models feature a 9-core CPU and 8GB of RAM, while the 1TB and 2TB models sport the full 10-core CPU and 16GB of RAM.
The higher storage models also offer an optional nano-texture glass display.
