Apple Has Filed for a Trademark for ‘SignChat’ for Providing Information Related to Sign Language

As per the latest reports from May 28, the European Union Intellectual Property Office has published a list of approved trademarks, and Apple has successfully obtained a new one named “SignChat”. It’s worth noting that Apple has already applied this trademark to its official website in Germany.

Upon visiting Apple’s German official website, users may notice the following message: “Welcome to the SignChat conversation. By using the sign language translation service, you can obtain purchase recommendations and after-sales support.”

This trademark was registered in various International Classes, including 09 (computer software and hardware), 35 (advertising and business management), 37 (construction and repair services), 38 (telecommunications services), 41 (education and entertainment services), and 42 (scientific and technological services).

After conducting a thorough search on the Google Play Store, We also discovered an Android app that bears the same name as the trademark, namely SignChat.

However, it’s essential to note that this app is primarily designed for transmitting information and not specifically providing sign language services.
