On May 2, 2024, Steam published its hardware and software survey report for April, detailing statistics about operating systems, hardware setups, and language preferences among gamers.
In the graphics card segment, the RTX 3060 desktop version continues to lead, despite a slight decrease of 1.16%. The GTX 1650 and RTX 3060Ti saw minor changes, with the former rising and the latter falling slightly in popularity.
For operating systems, the 64-bit version of Windows 10 remains the most used, holding a 51.02% share despite a decrease of 3.38%. The 64-bit version of Windows 11 follows, having increased by 3.54% to a 45.15% share.
Intel processors are the most common among Steam users, with a 66.51% share, though they have seen a 2.23% drop. Conversely, AMD’s share has risen by 2.24%.
The most prevalent languages on Steam as of March 2024 show English leading with a 33.18% share, while Chinese has slightly decreased, now in second place.
