ASUS R510JX review with unboxing [GAMING, BENCHMARKS]

Gaming is a genre which draws in the most investment, whether it’s from buyers looking for new products or investors looking to create more profitable gaming related content. The whole process of gaming is but sometimes hindered by lack of decent hardware for low budget and this leaves a lot to be desired by many people. While building a gaming PC is the ideal route to go but most of the times people don’t have that much space or some people don’t desire a system which keeps them fixed at one place. They desire the portability of a laptop and the power of a gaming PC. ASUS has been known for a lot of gaming related products and its Republic of Gamers line has also been in the news for almost all of the right reasons. So today we are going to do ASUS R510JX review with unboxing along with more details about this device. So read on to know more!

Build and Design

The R510JX comes with a 15.6 inch full HD i.e. 1080p display with LED backlight and it’s an anti glare display with a non glossy finish and hence it does look pleasant to look at for long hours of work. It weighs round 2.45 kg with the battery inserted and few of the design cons include the hinge of the display being wobbly and not feeling as sturdy as expected on such a laptop. Apart from this the display had a yellow tint issue but it later turned out to be just a software glitch and we have done a full video on how to fix that. You can find it below.

Performance and more:

The R510JX comes with a Intel Core i7 4720HQ Processor, 2.6 GHz (6 M Cache, up to 3.6 GHz), 4 GB DDR3L MHz SDRAM, it has an onboard memory of 4 GB. So that makes a total of 8 GB memory with one slot where in you can swap the 4 GB stick for other possibly higher capacity sticks. It comes with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M GPU which is decent for playing lots of games and comes with a 5400 RPM 1 tb hard drive.

It comes with a 4 cell battery and battery life is the weakest point of this device apart from overall stellar performance. It has rated capacity of 44 Watt hours.
