End of Support for Windows 10 21H2 Versions Announced

Key update: Microsoft will cease support for Windows 10 versions 21H2, including Enterprise and Education, on June 11, 2024.

As of May 14, Microsoft has refreshed the Windows Health Dashboard, emphasizing that support for the 21H2 versions of Enterprise, Education, and IoT will conclude on June 11, 2024, marking the beginning of the final 30 days of support.

Microsoft confirms that sustained support will only be provided for Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021, which will remain supported until January 12, 2027.

Post-June 11, 2024, these versions will cease to get security updates. Microsoft support will guide customers after this date to upgrade their systems to the newest version of Windows 10 or to Windows 11 for ongoing support.

Official Microsoft Statement:

“After June 11, 2024, these versions will no longer receive security updates. Customers who contact Microsoft Support after this date will be directed to update their devices to the latest version of Windows 10 or upgrade to Windows 11 to continue to receive support.”

The following Windows 10 21H2 versions will reach the end of service on June 11, 2024:

  1. Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 21H2
  2. Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session, version 21H2
  3. Windows 10 Education, version 21H2
  4. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, version 21H2
