On April 9, 2024, Google marked the end of an era for its Nest Secure home security system by halting all support, a decision previously announced in 2020.
This move renders the devices unable to connect online or be managed via the Nest app, effectively ceasing their functionality.
To ease the transition, Google has provided affected users with two compensatory offers: a complimentary ADT self-install security system, valued at up to $485, or a $200 credit for use in the Google Store.
However, the clock is ticking on these offers, with the ADT system deal set to expire on May 7, 2024, leaving users a narrow window to claim their benefits.
