Introducing @mention Sharing : Instagram changes its algorithm to respond to the stories in a new way. This feature is called @mention sharing. It comes into play when someone tags another Instagram user in their story. the tagged user will have an option to instantly repost it or adding the photo or video to their own story.
The tagged user can repost this story for 24 hours and will get the notification through a direct message with an option of “Add This To Your Story”. On clicking this option the story will appear in editing menu. After adding the post or story, the followers will see the original posters name, and they can tap to see that user’s profile.
Then update will be only applicable to public accounts and is available on Instagram version 48 on Android and iOS platforms respectively.
