According to reputed tech publication, LetsGoDigital’s report, OPPO smartphones have been working on a new lifting camera design. There has been a recent patent leak where it shows that the rear uses a “V” shaped lifting design.
According to Letsgodigital, on August 2, 2019, OPPO’s liftable camera design patents were published in the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation) database. This time they showed the phone model and added colour rendering. Among the 12 colour images, the mobile phone renders all have bright red colour schemes.
As can be seen from the figure, the front of the phone is a regular screen, without the screen design which was seen on the Oppo Find X. The four sides look the same width which means that there’s no huge chin size.
The full view display of the mobile phone is achieved by a lifting camera and it’s equipped with a front dual camera. On the back of the phone, you can see that the connection of the lifting structure is irregular, and it is a “V” (or check) design. The rear dual cameras are arranged vertically. In addition, you can see that the phone only has a USB Type-C interface and no 3.5mm audio jack can be seen.
So guys what do you think? Is such a smartphone-design practical in real life and does it actually serve any purpose besides just looking unique? Do you think that a pop-up camera mechanism is still one of the best ways to achieve a full-screen display? Do let us know what you think in the comments section below!
