Xiaomi, India’s number one smartphone and smart TV brand according to sales number today announced that it has been certified as a Great Place to Work®. Xiaomi India has been identified as a true leader across the values of GPTW – High-Trust, High-Performance Culture™. Xiaomi India has attained this certification basis the empowering work culture it has built for its employees and extended Xiaomi family.
More than 10,000 organizations from over 60 countries partner with Great Place to Work® Institute for assessment, benchmarking and planning actions to strengthen their workplace culture and less than 40% of companies in India get certified. The survey is conducted based on random sample selection and is completely anonymous.
Great Place to Work® Certification is one of the most prestigious achievements for any organization across the globe. For an organization to get certified, 70% or more of its employee respondents should rate the organization as a great workplace.
Xiaomi India over the last five years has focussed on three pillars for its work culture. It has relentlessly pursued to make Xiaomi a preferred place to work and attract good talent, along with providing a sense of overall development for all employees with fun & fulfilling work culture making it a great workplace. With the aim of providing a sense of purpose with each task, Xiaomi India has built a strong emotionally engaging interconnected team fostering a learning culture and driving growth and development.

Earlier this year, Xiaomi India announced that it has generated employment for over 50,000 individuals* in India. The extended Xiaomi family has been built over the last five years since 2014 – and comprises partners from manufacturing, after-sales, offline sales, logistics and corporate employees.
Xiaomi’s manufacturing partners contribute over 30,000 employees of which more than 95% are women, followed by Authorised Service Center engineers, Repair factory engineers and customer care executives. The third biggest contribution comes from offline stores support followed by logistics partner support who dedicatedly work for Xiaomi. Xiaomi India employs 1000+ people across its corporate HQ in Bengaluru and over five regional offices.
