Xiaomi MI5 rumours and expected specifications
Rumor mills are churning and butter is being loaded about Xiaomi Mi5 rumours! Xiaomi is long due to launch its latest flagship device and just recently a device was spotted on Geekbench with the code name Xiaomi Gemini.
As per the listing, the Xiaomi Gemini has the latest Snapdragon processor, Snapdragon 820 SoC. With the leak of the launch of this latest snapdragon version, the rumours regarding Xiaomi Gemini being Xiaomi MI5 have a solid support now. If we go by the listing, Xiaomi Mi5 is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 chipset, available processor ID is ARM implementer 81 architecture 8 variant 1 part 517 revision 1. Gemini also comes with 3 GB RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

When we had a look at the geek bench score, for the single score it was 2140 and for multi-core it was 4762. Based on previous rumours, we have deduced that Mi5 comes with a 5.2′ LCD display with 1440p Gorilla glass protection and 2.5D glass panel. Other details that we have been able to churn out are that the camera is 16 MP main and 13 MP front, which is one of the highest ones that we will see in upcoming smartphones. The battery of MI5 is expected to be around 3000 mAh with USB type C-port charging options which is turning out to be a must have features in all latest smartphones.
If Xiamoi Gemini is Mi5, we can expect it to be released around mid-December. With the latest Snapdragon version already launched, the rumours might be really true that Mi5 is coming soon. Even in China, online manufacturers have recently posted pictures of phone cases of a device which specifications look like Mi5 only, confirming that the phone may be out soon. The phone case pictures which are floating online also show that the camera and flash have been moved from center to the left side top corner.
