Chinese manufacturing giant Xiaomi has launched their latest addition to the mobile market, Redmi 4x this Tuesday at an event in China. The new handset, which has its launch coinciding with Xiaomi’s new in-house processor – the Surge S1 SoC is sure to draw a lot of attention from the mid range mobile market. With all this in mind, let’s have a look at the specs of Redmi 4x.
Xiaomi Redmi 4X SPECIFICATIONS:
The new Xiaomi Redmi 4X will come in two variants- 2GB of RAM with 16GB storage priced at CNY 699 (approximately Rs. 7,000), and 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 8,500).
There is also a design update with the new Xiaomi Redmi 4X with an all metal body and a finger-prints scanner however the highlight of the handset will be, according to Xiaomi, its 4100 mAh battery which it claims to be the best in the range. Xiaomi Redmi 4X features a 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with a fingerprints scanner at the back-panel and runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM.
FEATURES:
The new Xiaomi Redmi 4X comes in 16 and 32 GB storage options with the added facility of an expandable storage with a microSD card of upto 128 GB capacity. The new Redmi 4X runs on the company’s MIUI 8 based on Android. Much like other Redmi smartphones, the new Redmi 4X comes with hybrid dual-SIM which will mean that consumers will need to choose between using two SIM cards or a microSD card along with a SIM. The camera is a 13-megapixel shooter at back with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The Redmi 4X also have an infrared sensor. It measures 139.2×69.6.x8.6mm, and weighs 150 grams. The Redmi 4X will support 4G VoLTE along with other connectivity options, so Indian users can enjoy their Jio connections.
CONCLUSION:
The mid range handset market is buzzing with competition these days with more and more companies launching their flagship product in the category. Xiaomi has always been a good player in this range and they would want to keep ruling the market which a device like Redmi 4X is capable of. It has great specs on paper and can be one of the cheaper option for the users. But before any final verdicts we’ll have to wait for its formal launch in India and the price it is launched at, there is also a doubt whether it will release at all in the Indian markets as Xiaomi in past had launched some exclusive to Chinese markets products.
