Xiaomi launches Redmi 7A with Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 and Sony IMX486 Camera!

Xiaomi has launched so many smartphones in the sub 10k price bracket that it has become really hard to keep a track of their multiple products! They have so many products in the budget segment that more often than not their own product variants eat into the sales of each other! Xiaomi, a popular smartphone brand, today announced a refresh in the much-loved Redmi A series lineup with Redmi 7A. It marks the 4th iteration from the bestselling smartphone series from Xiaomi since its debut in 2017. The Xiaomi Redmi 7A priced from INR 5799 is the first Xiaomi smartphone to be launched with two years warranty.

The Redmi A series* has cumulatively shipped over 23.6 million smartphones in India. Not just this, Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A have a 48% market share in $75 to $100 price segment in 2019 as per IDC India Monthly National Smartphone Tracker, April 2019. Redmi 5A and 6A are also the #1 smartphones globally as per Canalys Smartphone Analysis – Q3 2018 (November 2018 release) and Canalys Smartphone Analysis – Q1 2019 (May 2019 release).

Redmi 7A brings an overall upgrade over Redmi 6A. Starting at INR 5799, it features the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset, a massive 4000mAh battery, the 12MP Sony IMX486 camera sensor and a matte finish unibody design.

Every Redmi A series device has brought newer and better technology to the segment. Redmi 7A features the capable octa-core Snapdragon 439 clocked at 2GHz and a high capacity 4000mAh battery to ensure up to two days of battery life.

Redmi 7A boasts a 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor making it the only phone in its segment to sport the sensor. On the front, it features a 5MP front camera with AI Portrait mode for great portrait selfies.

To further enhance the user experience, Redmi 7A comes with wireless FM Radio to allow access to the radio without the need of earphones. It brings a 13.8cm (5.45) 18:9 HD+ Full-Screen Display with great viewing angles. Redmi 7A sports a dual SIM card with a dedicated microSD card slot which supports expansion up to 256GB. Xiaomi Redmi 7A price and availability

The Redmi 7A will be available in Matte Black, Matte Blue and Matte Gold colour variants. The 2GB+16GB variant will be available for an introductory price of INR 5799 and the 2GB+32GB variant will be available for INR 5999 for the month of July on the occasion of Mi Turns 5. The 2GB+16GB variant will be available for INR 5999 and the 2GB+32GB variant will be available for INR 6199 post the introductory offer. Redmi 7A will be available starting 12 PM on 11th July via Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores. It will also go on sale across offline stores soon.
