Since the past few months, people who were looking for a great graphics card at a particular price point had very few options from the Team Red. For people looking for a great graphics card which didn’t break the bank they mostly opted for the Geforce 1650 GPU. But now AMD has specifically come out with a product in direct competition in this specific price point.
Yesterday, AMD released two RX 5500 and RX 5500M graphics cards for desktop and mobile platform i.e. laptops. According to AMD’s official presentation, the RX5500 series graphics cards can achieve 60 plus framerates in AAA games, and 90 plus framerates in e-sports games.
In most AAA games, AMD’s latest RX 5500 outperformed the RX 480 and NVIDIA’s GTX 1650. In Gears of War 5, the RX 5500 leads the GTX 1650 by 31 frames.
In the e-sports games as well, the RX 5500 is also clearly ahead of the GTX 1650. In the Player’s Unknown BattleGround, the RX 5500 can achieve 99 frames per second in high visual quality settings, while the GTX 1650 managed only around 76 frames per second.
The RX 5500M on the mobile version is also ahead of the GTX 1650m. In popular battle royale game PUBG, the picture quality can reach 91 frames per second, while the GTX 1650 mobile version got only around 74 frames per second.
