On May 4, 2024, a Motorola smartphone, model number XT2401-2, received approval from China’s 3C certification authority. This certification, alongside prior regulatory approvals, suggests that the launch of the moto X50 Ultra is imminent.
Produced by Motorola (Wuhan) Mobile Technology Communications Ltd., the new device supports up to 125W wired fast charging, as evidenced by the certification issued on April 30, 2024.
Additionally, the smartphone has cleared necessary approvals from the radio transmission authority and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, positioning it for market release.
An official announcement for the May release in China has already been made, marking this as the brand’s first AI-enhanced smartphone.
In terms of design, the new model is virtually identical to the moto Edge 50 Ultra, which was previously released internationally.
The moto Edge 50 Ultra features a Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor, IP68 water resistance, a 144Hz OLED display with a centered punch-hole, and a brightness of 2500 nits.
It sports a high-resolution 2712×1220 display. Camera specifications include a 50MP 1/1.3″ main sensor, a 64MP 72mm telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera.
It also includes a 4500mAh battery supporting both 125W wired and 50W wireless charging.
