On August 26, news surfaced that OpenAI had issued a press release unveiling an extensive collaboration with Scale AI. The aim of this partnership is to augment the capabilities of the GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4 substantial language models in the corporate environment.
OpenAI emphasized that this alliance enables enterprises to customize OpenAI’s expansive language model to meet their distinctive requirements.
OpenAI reiterated in their blog post that all data transmitted via the fine-tuning API remains the exclusive possession of the client. OpenAI and any other entity are explicitly prohibited from utilizing such data to train other models.
Scale AI, renowned for its proficiency in data annotation and AI solutions, holds a distinguished status as a “preferred partner” according to OpenAI. Our previous report highlighted OpenAI’s introduction of the fine-tuning feature for GPT-3.5 Turbo.
In their most recent blog post, OpenAI expressed their intention to introduce a fine-tuning functionality for GPT-4 in the upcoming autumn season.
