Qualcomm Announces 2023 Snapdragon Summit, to Be Held From October 24th-26th!

The Snapdragon 8 Generation 3 chip is expected to be released there!

Qualcomm, a leading American multinational semiconductor and telecommunications equipment company, announced on June 2, 2023, the holding of the 2023 Snapdragon Summit, which is scheduled to take place from October 24 to 26. The highly anticipated summit is expected to witness the unveiling of the company’s latest creation, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 microchip, which is said to be a significant jump in terms of performance and efficiency.

Interestingly, the location of the summit remains the same as last year, which was held in Hawaii from November 15th to 17th, 2022. However, the event has been scheduled slightly earlier than usual, indicating Qualcomm’s eagerness to showcase its latest technological innovation to the world. In a recent update, a renowned Weibo blogger revealed that the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 microchip phone will make its debut in November of this year.

The blogger also disclosed that the first batch of models to feature the new microchip will include Xiaomi 14 series, vivo X100 series, iQOO 12 series, Redmi K70 series, OnePlus 12, and Realme GT5, among others, thereby generating a lot of excitement among tech enthusiasts and consumers alike.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 microchip (SM8650) is expected to introduce a “1+5+2” core configuration, which is notably different from the “1+2+2+3” setup of its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This change implies that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 microchip will likely bring a more potent performance core and higher frequency to the table.

Additionally, it is expected to adopt the TSMC N4P process and configure Cortex-X4 super large core, 5 A720 cores, 2 A520 cores, and Adreno 750 GPU, among other advanced features and technologies.

According to Ice Universe, a well-known leaker in the tech industry, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s Adreno 750 GPU will have “significantly improved” performance and will be equipped with a 10MB L3 cache, as opposed to its predecessor’s 8MB L3 cache, thereby indicating a substantial boost in performance and efficiency.
