On August 4th, it was reported that UNISOC and Quectel have jointly launched a new 5G intelligent module-SG530C-CN, which comes equipped with Zhanrui P7885 and adopts 6nm EUV advanced technology, alongside an octa-core 1+3+4 three-cluster CPU architecture.
The module is also integrated with Arm Mali-G57 quad-core GPU, with a running frequency of 850MHz, and NPU computing power that reaches 8 TOPS.
According to UNISOC, the Quectel SG530C-CN module has been developed based on the UNISOC P7885 and complies with the 3GPP Release 15 standard.
The module supports 5G NSA and SA modes, while also being backward compatible with 4G/3G networks, as well as supporting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other network standards.
The SG530C-CN module also supports 5G NR & 4G LTE multiple-input multiple-output technology (MIMO), which enables the use of multiple receiving antennas at the receiving end in the same frequency band and at the same time. This feature greatly reduces the bit error rate and improves communication quality.
Furthermore, the SG530C-CN module has been designed to cater to multi-industry intelligent terminals. It has a built-in multi-constellation GNSS receiver, which supports GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and Galileo positioning systems. Additionally, the module integrates interface functions such as PCIe, DisplayPort, and USB 3.1.
Moreover, SG530C-CN has been developed with video capabilities in mind. It supports 4K H.265/H.264 60FPS video codec and can enable the simultaneous input of up to 4 camera video streams, alongside dual-screen/three-screen different displays, and other functions.
