Samsung recently launched the new Samsung 7 series Notebook laptops. They are equipped with a fingerprint sensor and the starting price is $999.99. This kind of pits in the mid-range segment for laptops as this isn’t a super affordable price by any means!
Samsung’s new Notebook 7 series laptops will be available in 13-inch and 15-inch versions. In terms of design, these sport wide touchpads and three-sided thin bezels. A large notch has been added to the chassis to make it easier to raise the screen. Notebook 7 has useful connectivity options, including two USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port, an HDMI port, and a microSD slot as well.
Samsung Notebook 7 starts at $999.99 (about 70K INR) and will be available on Amazon.com and Samsung’s own online store starting from July 26. Each model comes with an 8th generation Intel core processor, 8GB of RAM, 1080p screen, and a fingerprint sensor (the blue button on the keyboard). This 15-inch notebook can be optionally equipped with NVIDIA’s GeForce MX250 graphics card and can also support the installation of additional SSDs.
Samsung NoteBook 7 force
Samsung also introduced another new laptop, the 15-inch Notebook 7 Force, which is only available in black. The price of this notebook is $1,499 (about 1.05 lakh INR). It comes with NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, 16GB of RAM and two slots for storage expansion. This laptop is also equipped with a 43Wh battery.
The Samsung 7 series notebooks aren’t much to write home about. Players like Lenovo and ASUS have been offering better specs at lower price points for a long time. It’s high time that Samsung starts pricing its laptops competitively instead of just focusing on profit margins!
Another problem with this series is the fact that it blatantly rips off the current MacBook Pro design. The battery size is also pretty less considering the fact that Apple offers double the battery capacity in its 15-inch model. Samsung laptops are definitely lookers for those who want a similar design and form factor to the Macbooks without actually going into the Apple ecosystem.
