The Vivo Nex series has been one of the foremost in terms of mobile innovation since the past few years. The original Nex was the first smartphone to bring the concept of a full view display. It came up with the first popup camera module. And now we have mid-range smartphones as well as coming with the same module. The original Nex paved the way for Android phones to achieve an almost 100% screen to body ratio before the iPhone.
And it seems now that with the imminent launch of the Vivo Nex 3 5G that goal would finally be achieved. With its unique waterfall screen design and an all-screen display, the Vivo Nex 3 5G might be the first phone to come with an almost 100% screen to body ratio.
We know from all supply chain rumours that even this year’s iPhones would have the notch style design and it would take more than a year now to finally adopt a full-screen design. This makes sure that the current generation of Android smartphones has a significant lead. The Nex 3 5G also boasts of few other industry firsts in terms of bringing some new features to the table!
On September 3, Vivo announced that it will release the NEX 3 5G flagship in Shanghai on September 16. The theme of this conference is “Unbounded in the Future”, suggesting NEX 3’s “Unbounded Waterfall Screen”.
It is reported that the Vivo NEX 3 5G is the first unbounded waterfall screen with a screen ratio of nearly 100%. It is the highest mobile phone with the highest screen share and the world’s first 5G waterfall screen mobile phone. Its biggest feature is that the curved screen has a waterfall-like visual effect on both sides, which is highly recognizable.
In the core configuration, Vivo NEX 3 5G will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus flagship chipset. It will come with up to 12GB of memory. It will sport a rear 64 MP AI three-shot camera module. It’s expected to come with a battery capacity of 4500mAh. The device will also support 44W ultra-fast flash charge.
Not only that, but the Vivo NEX 3 5G also doesn’t have the physical buttons such as volume and power and adjusts the volume by pressing the sensing area. The whole process will have vibration feedback. This shows how the Nex has implemented the changes we first saw on the Vivo Apex 2 concept phone.
It is worth noting that the Vivo NEX 3 5G retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. In the current market where every manufacturer is getting rid of the 3.5 mm jack, it’s really great of Vivo to keep it intact!
All in all, the Vivo NEX 3 5G is a highly competitive flagship that is worth looking forward to. So guys do let us know if you are excited about this smartphone?
