LG has come up with a sporadic number of devices in the recent past. None of the LG flagships has been able to make their mark even after being jampacked with features. With device launches far and few in between LG’s visibility has been going down fast lately. Their recent flagship i.e. the LG G8 ThinQ recently received a DxOMark rating for its camera performance. The device got a DxOMark score of 96 which is the same as the OnePlus 6. For what’s supposed to be LG’s current flagship the score is rather dismal.
LG G8 ThinQ DxoMark scores: The break-Down!
The LG G8 ThinQ scored 99 points for photos and a video recording score of 89 points. It got a total score of 96 points based on both.
The LG G8 ThinQ DxoMark photo score is one point higher than the LG V40 ThinQ. This is because of the improvements in autofocus (AF), noise and blur. Similarly, due to its stability and better performance of the exposure system, the LG G8’s overall video score increased by two points to 89.
Overall, the LG G8 ThinQ features a fast, accurate autofocus system and good noise control. Even in the case of backlighting, it handles target exposure well, and it’s colour rendering works well both in outdoors and indoors situations.
The G8 ThinQ is equipped with 6.1-inch OLED FullVision display with a resolution of 3120×1440. The smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship processor. It comes equipped with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM combo. It also has a rear 16 MP super wide angle camera sensor with 12 MP standard sensor and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The device has a three-shot configuration with a front-facing 8-megapixel front camera.
