The new Simmtronics XPAD series has been launched in India. Here we are with a review: Finally, the Indian private company is trying its chance in the race for smartphones.
Simmtronics is one of the Indian private companies which manufacture and sells products like Memory modules, Motherboards, Tablet PC, Simmbook, Low-cost PCs, and other computer-related parts.
Now this company is launching a series of low-cost smartphones with different features and obviously made of quality.
The company named its series of phones as XPADs.
First of all these steps of Indian companies inspires us to try something new and always teach us the ways to compete in a global market. In July 2012, Simmtronics officially launched its tablets for the Middle East market in Dubai and claimed it was the world’s most affordable tablet. Now it’s time for XPADs.
All of the XPADs are low-cost products and just truly made with a mind for the middle classes of India.

Review of all new Simmtronics XPAD series devices
The first XPAD is M1
It has the following features :
- 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor
- Rear 8 MP, Front 2 MP
- Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean
- 512 MB RAM
12 cm (4.7″) IPS Capacitive Screen. The price of M1 at Flipkart is around 9000 INR/-Review [3.5 /5]: Well features like 8 MP rear and 2 MP front camera with Android jelly bean and 1.2GHz dual-core processor in the price of 9k is worth, but RAM is quite low, they should provide at least 1 GB RAM for better performance so that user really felt he worth that phone.
The second XPAD is Q1
It has the following features :
- 1.0 GHz Processor
- Android 2.3
- 8.89 cm(3.5″)LCD, Capacitive Touch Screen
- Rear 2 MP, Front Digital Camera
- Bluetooth
Dual SIM. Its price on Flipkart is 3149 INR/-Review [3.5/5]: Under 4k an Android phone is really a plus point for the XPAD series, it has a dual camera setup, dual sim, and even a 1.0 GHz processor and is truly a worthy option. But as it’s for the Indian population, they always want to get everything at the lowest price, many people can say it does not have WiFi or 3G.
Well for such a price, this phone is truly a steal.
The third XPAD is Q2
It has the following features :
- 1.0 GHz Processor
- Android 4.0
- 10.2cm (4″) Capacitive Screen
- Rear 2 MP, Front Digital
- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Hotspot
Dual SIM. Its price on Flipkart is around 3900 INR/-Review[4/5]: Under 4k a phone with Andriod 4.0, dual camera, dual sim, WiFi hot spot, and 1 GHz processor. Well under 4k it’s the best option to buy it does not have 3g else it will just be beyond words.
The only thing that can affect this product is maybe the less amount of RAM. It has 256 MB ram, which is good enough for such low price phones.
The Fourth XPAD is Q4
It has the following features :
- 1.0 GHz Processor
- Android 4.0
- 8.89 cm(3.5″)LCD, Capacitive Screen
- Rear 2 MP, Front Digital Camera
- Bluetooth
- Dual SIM. Its price on Flipkart is around 3600 INR/-Review: [3.5/5]: it’s having the same features as Q1, it’s just advanced by upgrading to Android 4.0, well 4.0 with 256 MB RAM won’t be a good choice.
The Fifth and last XPAD is Q5:
It has the following features :
- 1.0 GHz Processor
- Android 4.0
- 10.2cm (4″) Capacitive Screen
- Rear 5 MP with Flash
- Dual SIMIts price on Flipkart is around 4600 INR/-Review [3.5/5]: Well under 5k truly a good competitor, the only thing which can overshadow the goodness is that it has no 3g and less RAM. Well, Simmtronics is a good competitor in low-price Androids, at least in Indian markets, that’s for sure.
