According to reports from May 14 and Insider Sony, detailed configurations and leaked information about the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VI mobile phone have surfaced tonight, confirming earlier rumors.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI phone features a 19.5:9 Full HD+ screen with LTPO technology, supports a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz, is touted as the “brightest Xperia screen ever,” and includes a new Sunlight Vision daylight mode.
For the audio experience, the new phone has a stereo speaker module, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Hi-Res Audio, and Hi-Res Audio Wireless small gold label certification, and supports LDAC, Snapdragon Audio, and LE Audio.
Performance-wise, the Xperia 1 VI is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with a VC heat sink for cooling, supports a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and has a 5000mAh battery designed to last for 4 years.
The new phone supports wireless charging and wireless reverse charging, is certified for IP65/IP68 dust and water resistance, and offers gaming features such as FPS Optimizer.
In the camera department, the Xperia 1 VI’s periscope telephoto lens has been upgraded to 85-170mm true optical zoom. It retains a 48-megapixel Exmor T dual-layer transistor 24mm main camera and a 16mm ultra-wide-angle lens, with a larger shutter button than its predecessor.
The new telephoto lens also supports the popular telephoto macro function. The device offers up to 399 focus points, supports real-time human eye focus, 4K 120 frames HDR video recording, and introduces a new camera app.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI is 8.2mm thick and weighs 192g. It comes in four colors: black, platinum silver, khaki green, and scarlet red.
