On May 27, the blogger @DigitalChatStation revealed the specifications of a mysterious engineering machine equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor and a 2K screen. The device is expected to feature a 5500mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging, which is widely speculated to be the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
Previously, the blogger disclosed that this new phone would have a new 2K full-depth micro-curved screen with minor size changes. The rear camera module is positioned at the top left, using a “square Deco” design. Additionally, it will feature a 50MP triple-camera setup with a periscope telephoto lens and a large aperture scheme.
Currently, there is limited information about the Xiaomi 15 series. The primary upgrades appear to be in the processor, imaging, and fingerprint unlocking features. Previous leaks suggest the Xiaomi 15 series will maintain the dual-size strategy of the Xiaomi 13 and 14 series, with the standard version using a small straight screen design and testing a single-point ultrasonic fingerprint solution from Goodix.
As a comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, which features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED full-depth micro-curved screen, and a peak brightness of 3000nit, includes a 4880mAh battery supporting 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The imaging system includes a 50MP Leica super dynamic main camera, Leica 75mm floating telephoto, and a 50MP Leica ultra-wide-angle, with a 32MP front camera.
