The base model is now equipped with a 1.4 GHz quad-core 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor (8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage).apple macbook pro 13 inch 2019 model As for the performance of this device, let’s take a look at the GeekBench score posted online!

According to the latest Geekbench 4 scores, the 2019 entry MacBook Pro has a single-core performance score of up to 6.8% compared to the previous generation (2017 entry, 2.3 GHz dual-core seventh-generation Intel Core i5 processor). The multi-core performance points showed the highest increase at a jump of up to 83.4%

Apple 13 inch MacBook Pro 2019 performance updates

The 2019 entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro CPU model comes with the Intel Core i5-8257U. This processor is a customised version of the Core i5-8250U designed for Apple. This 15 W chip belongs to the Coffee Lake family and its Turbo Boost is up to 3.9 GHz.

Users can also choose to upgrade to the 1.7 GHz quad-core 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, model name Intel Core i7-8557U. It should be a customised version of Core i7-8550U with a Turbo Boost up to 4.5 GHz.

There is currently only one Geekbench running record for the 1.7 GHz processor version, which is a single-core 4835 and multicore of 15515. I believe that as more users post scores online, the average score may change. But even the current score has increased by about 60% compared to the previous generation.

Apple claims that the new MacBook Pro “has twice the performance of the previous generation”, although this statement is somewhat debatable from the current performance scores. But the GeekBench scores are only a reference. A lot of users care about improvements in actual experience and not synthetic benchmark scores!
