There were a lot of rumours and news about the launch of the RealMe 64MP quad-camera smartphone. Now there are rumours coming in from China that Xiaomi would be the first to launch a 64MP camera smartphone. The only smartphone camera sensor which is 64 MP right now is the Samsung Isocell GW1 Bright sensor. If Xiaomi does indeed beat RealMe to the market in coming out with a smartphone which is based on the new sensor then for sure they will have the first-mover advantage.
Earlier today Lu Weibing from Xiaomi posted the first teaser of the Redmi 8. Lu Weibing in his Weibo post also stated that the charging power of the smartphone would be above 10 watts. So some form of really fast charging would definitely be supported on this smartphone.

Xiaomi Redmi 8 first look:
Here’s your first look at the Xiaomi Redmi 8:

From what we can infer from this image it’s pretty clear that just like the Redmi Note 7 and the Note 7 pro this smartphone would come with a dewdrop notch style design.
But if the primary sensor is 12MP one then most probably the second would be a depth sensor as Xiaomi is known for its cost-cutting measures. But the specifications leaks show it to be an 8MP sensor. So it can be an ultra-wide sensor as well.
There’s the Redmi branding at the back and the overall placement of all of these components is really symmetrical and does look pleasing to the eye.
Now all that’s left is the official announcement along with other detailed specs information about this smartphone.
