Asus EeBook X205 with 12 hours battery life announced

   

With the announcement of Intel’s Haswell line of chip-sets a slew of devices running with this latest technology was bound to hit the market. The promise was of excellent battery life along with increased mobility and this can be seen in the latest netbook solution launched by Asus i.e. the Asus EeBook X205. It is a really sleek device with all day mobility and good performance at a cheap price. This device will hit the markets today and will be on retail on Flipkart and ASUS outlets across the country.

The device has an 11.6 inch screen, full sized chiclet keyboard, and a 36% larger touch pad than most models of this range. It has a Quad core Intel Atom Z3735F 1.83 GHz processor with 2 MB L2 cache.  It has 2GB DDR3 ram and 32 GB of internal storage out of which only 20 GB is available to the user.

The Asus Eebook X205 comes with Intel HD graphics bundled with the processor and Bluetooth V4.0. It has a micro HDMI port, 2 USB port and features a micro SD card reader slot with support for micro SD cards upto 128 GB. It has a VGA front camera for video calling and other applications. The device comes with a 1 year global warranty. It features a 11.6 inch screen with 1366×768 resolution and anti glare display.

The device retails for a price of around INR 14,999. It is available in four coloured variants i.e. dark blue, red, white and the coveted gold.

Asus provides 15 GB Microsoft One drive storage for life along with 100 GB of one drive storage and 500 GB of Asus’ own web storage for free for a limited duration of 2 years.

  • Doesn’t pack larger storage only 20 GB available to the user.
  • The front camera is only VGA.
  • Not made for extremely heavy processing or tasks like video editing, but it’s actually because it’s a budget device for light work on the go.
