One of the latest leaks about Sony Xperia XZ3 suggests that it might not come with a dual camera setup as reported. The phone might have a single 48 MP camera sensor according to the recent reports.
One of the newer leaked 360 degrees renders of the phone shows the body just sporting a single camera sensor. Sony had unveiled a new 48 MP sensor just some time ago and it’s being reported now that it might be the one that will be used in the new Xperia XZ3.
There’s another benchmark listing which has a model number with the codename H8416 which appeared on GFXBench and the leaks point towards a smartphone with a 47 MP resolution camera. So even these leaks point towards a single sensor camera.
It’s a known fact that benchmark listings are often quite different from the final specifications but most probably the 48 MP IMX586 camera sensor by Sony would be present on this phone. It’s the highest we have seen till now. It’s even higher than the 40 Megapixel sensor present on the Huawei P20 Pro. It also uses the Quad Bayer tech similar to that on the P20 Pro.
But due to contradicting nature of the reports and a recent live photo leak which showed a dual camera setup, and another picture with a sensor setup. It seems that there will be two variants of the XZ3. There might be a light variant with dual camera setup or some other pro variant which might have the dual camera setup.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 might come with a 5.7 inch Full HD plus display alongwith 6 GB of RAM. It might come with a Snapdragon 845 chipset and a 3240 mAh battery on the inside. Android Oreo would be present and it might even come with Android P. Even if that’s not the case it might get an update soon because of being the top of the line device.
The launch event would be held on August 30 by Sony, that’s the time when all of these details would be cleared up and we would get a final look at the Sony Xperia XZ3. The XZ3 is expected to be present at the IFA 2018 and all of us are waiting with baited breath for the same.
