Solution to Internet Boredom: Treat Internet as Magic

Many of my friends are eligible to be classified as Internet addicts. They spend more than 90% of their time awake on Internet. But still many of them claim to be so bored from Internet as a whole that they say nothing good can come out of it. Internet is full of things to learn, to enjoy and yet there are people who claim to suffer from Internet boredom. Well I would offer two solutions to this problem. The first would be to disconnect from Internet and gain some peace of mind. Read my article Disconnect and focus for more. But there is the second solution which helps those people whose bread and butter depends upon the internet. These are the people who have to be on the Internet irrespective of whether they like it or not. This list of people could include anyone ranging from an IT professional working in an IT company to a Blogger or Internet Marketer, or even a student who needs to use the Internet for research work. The solution to Internet Boredom is to treat Internet as Magic!

Treat Internet as Magic: What does it really mean?

Most of us are 90’s kids or older people, the young are yet to discover websites like these. (Pun intended! 😛 ) The true meaning of the previous statement is that we all are those people who saw the Internet revolution in front of our eyes. The dot com bubble blew up right in front of us. This means that we are the last generation of people who know and have felt what life without internet is like.

Remember those childhood days when you would wait for hours at Cyber cafes to download that cool game or song that you liked!

I remember back then Internet was the equivalent of magic to me. I would write everything down that I wished to know about the whole week long, I would make “Stuff To find” lists. When finally I got the Internet for a limited time on the weekends in the nearby Cyber Cafe I didn’t even waste a second and tried to learn everything I could.

Now when I look back at those childhood days I feel we all are so privileged. We have the Internet, which is nothing short of magic. We have mobile phones, so many tools to express ourselves in a thousand of ways. But if we still do not do so, then it’s use who are on the wrong side.

Just stop a second, detach from everything. Now look at and marvel at the beauty of everything you are using. Remember those childhood days when everything was so different. Information as well as entertainment were both difficult to find.

This reply by a Redditor on a question is something which tells us how wrong we are in our usage of modern technology just for leisure and random time wasting stuff!

“I possess a device, in my pocket, that is capable of accessing the entirety of information known to man. I use it to look at pictures of cats and get in to arguments with strangers!”

Treat Internet as Magic, and the returns would be fabulous. You would start valuing this precious resource and begin to use it in the best possible manner.

That’s all that I have to say in this matter folks!
